  Marissa  

Marissa Garrison

Marissa Garrison is a professional dancer/performer and choreographer who was raised in Mount Holly, NC. She served as Miss North Carolina’s Outstanding Teen in 2017, where she devoted her time to community service and advocating for organ donation through the Destiny Lives On Foundation. She also held the title of America’s Miss Dance in 2020. Marissa attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City where she studied Dance Theatre.

 

She became a member of the world renowned Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders at the age of 19, and was featured on the CMT show “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team”.  Her 3 year tenure with the DCC included performing with Kane Brown, Luke Combs and the Jonas Brothers.  Marissa currently resides in Winter Garden, Florida where she is a performer at Walt Disney World.

Brittany Caldwell

Brittany Caldwell has spent her life blending her passion for dance with a love of learning. After graduating from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Chemical Engineering, she went on to earn her master’s in Exercise Science, focusing on performance enhancement, injury prevention, and rehabilitation.  

​

Now based in Charlotte, NC, Brittany owns a beverage brand, Go Brazee Energy, and directs the Tap & Hip-Hop program at Brenda Cranford School of Dance in SC, where her own competitive dance journey began. She spent seven incredible seasons as an NBA Dancer for the Charlotte Hornets, serving as captain for five years and choreographing for multiple entertainment teams. She also backup danced for several artists, performed in halftime shows, and even took her skills to the ice as an AHL hockey dancer for 3 seasons.

With a love for street jazz, tap, and hip-hop, Brittany is passionate about inspiring the next generation of dancers. Her goal is to encourage and equip performers to dream big, work hard, and create their own paths in the dance world.

Whitley Naylor

Whitley Naylor grew up in North Carolina, where she trained and danced competitively at Main Street Dance in Fuquay-Varina. She continued both her dance training and education at Jacksonville University in Florida, where she was a member of the Jacksonville University Dance Team and a part of the dance program. 

She captained the dance team her senior year and graduated with a BFA in Dance Performance.

 

After college, she joined the NDA Staff and traveled with the National Dance Alliance, teaching high school and college dance teams. She eventually became both a choreographer and Head Instructor with NDA. 

 

Whitley began her journey with Walt Disney World Entertainment in 2023 as a parade performer. She performed in "Mickey's Boo To You parade", "Disney's Festival Of Fantasy Parade", and was in the opening cast of Disney's newest parade, "Disney Starlight". 

Whitley recently moved back to North Carolina and is excited to be teaching full-time at Main Street Dance!

Alexa Roussos

Alexa Roussos brings over 30 years of dance experience and more than 20 years as an instructor and choreographer. Her passion for the art of dance fosters discipline, creativity, and confidence in every dancer she teaches. Alexa has trained and taught all ages in classical ballet, jazz, hip-hop, musical theatre, lyrical, contemporary, and tap—with a strong focus on contemporary, lyrical, and jazz. 

Alexa’s training began at age 3 at Sheffield’s School of the Dance in Mobile, Alabama, and has taken her to some of the most prestigious training grounds in the country, including Broadway Dance Center (NYC), The Edge and Millennium (Los Angeles), Gus Giordano Dance Center (Chicago), and The American Dance Center in Saratoga Springs. She has trained extensively in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre, hip-hop, and tap, with a strong personal and professional focus on contemporary, lyrical, and jazz.

​

As a performer, Alexa toured as a dancer and backup singer, lighting up stages in casinos across the U.S. and on Celebrity Cruise Lines. As a choreographer, she has served as co-director and lead creative for multiple dance companies throughout Alabama, Mississippi, and North Carolina, earning numerous awards for her compelling and impactful choreography. She has also worked with high school dance teams, color guard units, theatre departments, and Mardi Gras associations, creating standout pieces for stage and performance events.

 

Today, Alexa continues to teach masterclasses, choreograph for studios and teams, and mentor the next generation of dancers. Her classes are rooted in strong technique, expressive movement, and a deep love for the art of dance. She believes in empowering dancers to find their own voice and story through movement—and in creating spaces where passion and discipline come together to spark true artistry.
